To prepare you need a handful of peppermint leaves, after which is you wash them to remove the dust or soil that is on the leaves then you crush the leaves with the use of a mortar and pestle or if you don’t have a mortar and pestle, just simply improvise. The next one is Oatmeal—any brand will do. Last but not the least is Nettle (Urtica dioica) this plant prevent the formation of acne in any parts of the body. Unlike Peppermint and Oatmeal that is being applied topically Nettle leaves extract must be drank. To prepare you first need a handful of nettle leaves, use gloves if necessary, and boiling water. You need to clean the leaves to remove soil, dust, and other insects that are on the leaves. Then fill a teapot with nettle leaves then soak the leaves with boiling water, then wait for five minutes for the leave extract to mix with the water. After which you can now drink it. It is up to you if you put honey or lemon in the nettle tea to improve its taste and smell.
To conclude using home remedies to treat acne comes with its own set of risks. But compared to chemically generated medicines that are being sold in the market the risk is minimal.
